Modalities
Based on your needs, I use a combination of the following modalities in therapy:
Integrative Mental Health promotes a healthy gut-brain connection, healthy sleep, and physical wellbeing.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps recognize unhelpful patterns in thinking and behaviors.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy focuses on where you’re going, not just where you’ve been.
Mindfulness helps us shift to a more present focus, not on the worries of tomorrow or the pain of the past.
(Child therapy is conducted in a playful and engaging manner using these same modalities, based on your child’s needs.)

FAQ
Do you take insurance?
I currently accept Aetna, most Tricare insurance plans, and self-pay. Through self-payment, no documentation or diagnoses are required to be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. This allows providers to be able to focus more on you and your needs and adds an extra layer of confidentiality for you. For self-pay clients with PPO, HSA, or other flexible accounts, I can provide you with a “Superbill” at the end of each month that you may be able to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Is online therapy as effective and private?
The effectiveness of online therapy versus in-person therapy has been proven as effective by countless studies over the past decade. I use a HIPPA compliant video platform with no ability for either of us to record or replay sessions. Online therapy works well for those with a busy schedule or who wish to limit the need for extra commutes. It gives you more flexibility, access, and ease in getting the support you deserve!
What equipment will I need for online therapy?
Just YOU …well, and a high-speed internet connection, a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam, and a private space.
I already know food affects my mood, so how would this be helpful for me?
We know we can get grumpy when we’re hungry or sluggish after certain meals. But the gut-brain connection goes way beyond this. Our gut microbiome actually creates many of the neurotransmitters that send signals to our brain, so what we feed our gut, feeds our brain as well. We’ll work together to determine what foods best feed your brain to help alleviate your mental health symptoms.
